    Fuel pump pressure

Anyone know what pressure the standard Stag fuel pump puts out please ?

I checked a few not long ago and they varied from 1/2lb to 6lb. Ideally you want about 3- 3 1/2 lb .best solution is to get one at least 3lb and fit a Fuel King pressure regulator. It will help stop flooding too.

I have fitted a filter pressure regulator and it makes a big difference so I would recommend ,I also run a std pump.

Apparatly I need 6 psi for my Holley, the cars history shows its had three new pumps over the last 14 years yet its covered less than 1000 miles in that time. I suspect some other problem, Holley too big, pump too small, no pressure regulator. I have not driven the car very far as I am waiting for some dry weather for the MOT but it does seem to be running rich and drinking fuel. Time to spend some money on the fuel system me thinks.
          It’s a standard 3.5 RV8.

Maybe if you have had that many pumps fitted over a short time, then somebody previous has gone overkill on the pressure. You can set the regulator at 6lb if you wish. Have you checked the pressure that you have?

The Holley is the correct one for what the yanks call a small capacity V8 its a 8007 (4160)390cfm.
The pumps only managing about 4 psi, is this normal?
I am going to fit a Holley pump and regulator
