Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a passenger seat base onto a drivers seat-anyone done it? obviously drivers seats wear more than passenger ones and mine is shot.
cheers.Rob.
The seat bases are a mirror image of each other. I completely rebuilt the front seats in my early Mk 1 (Mk 2 seats are easier because the backrest is simpler). You can get new base cushions and diaphragms from Paddocks or any of the other specialists. The seat base is the easy part to repair. Why not change the foam and rubber diaphragm...you will be surprised at how much more comfortable it is when done.
