    Stag Car Cover

Hi,Can anyone recommend a decent outdoor car cover for a Stag.
obviously a good fit and breathable/waterproof is essential.
The ones I have tried previously last about 2 years then fall to bits but they are normally in the price range £30 to £40.
Happy to pay more for the right one.

    Thks Tim

I've been very pleased with the 'monsoon' shown here: http://www.cover-zone.com/prices_records.php

    Cheers

I'm not making a negative recommendation as such, but my Hamilton Moltex is not much good at all, and not worth the 155 odd I paid - the seams are 'welded' and they let go if the wind more than farts - happened under warranty and they told me not to bother sending it back, but to glue it at my expense - happened so often, I cleared my garage out so my car could go in - cheaper than buying another cover.

Shame is I bought it as my previous Hamilton lasted 4 years before it ripped on the rear wings of my Vitesse where it was 'resting' - definitely not as good quality as they used to be and I won't be returning...

I would stich with what you have, £15 to £20 per year sounds quite reasonable. What make are they?

I've used specialised covers in the past. Quality covers with excellent service. Can't speak highly enough of them.

I had Monsoon cover from RB that lasted about 2 years. Now got one from Halfords, it's been ok so far (about 8 months) it's more wind proof - got 3 straps instead of 2, and better elastic.

I would agree with Julian, I have a monsoon and am happy with it. Comes with a neat bag to keep it in, never yet actually been able to get it in there mind. Two straps to keep it on when it's blowey, and eyelets to fit a cable and padlock. Despite what it may say on the website there are no mirror pockets. I have some aircraft size packets of silica, which I leave under front just in case the engine is not completely cold when I fit it, to absorb any condensation.

Very impressed with my indoor Carcoon, I believe the outdoor ones are just as good. They are pricey though.

They also look a bit bizarre on the driveway (and need a power supply for the fans and the built in battery conditioner).
