    Waxoyl protection for cavities

Is waxoyl the best protection for sills and box sections etc or are there better alternatives.

Also wondered how you would get inside the sills, I know that there are a couple of existing slots but not enough to get full coverage.

Can anyone recommend the best places to inject rust protection and best product.

Got my project Stag up for grabs if anyone interested (see for Sale items).

    Cheers

    Tim,

Dynax S50 comes highly recommended. You can buy it in large aerosols which have a long applicator. Sills are easy. Just undo the stainless tread plates and feed the applicator in, press the nozzle and withdraw slowly. Mark the applicator about 2" from the end with insulating tape so that you don't get a face full!

I can recommend the Dinax S50 also. Part of the Bilt a Hammer range I think?

Hadn't thought of putting some tape near the end. Obvious really and a whole lot easier than wiping off paintwork and trim (and your face!)

I've used it on my wife's Mazda Coupe and the Defender. I always have a couple of canisters in the workshop.

Yep, another fan of Bilt Hamber (www.bilthamber.com) although sometimes their products can be cheaper from Opie oils

Thanks for the spelling correction. I should have read the post properly and not let the iPad choose what it thought I wanted to say!

That's ok - I quite like Built a hammer but I just envisaged Tim having difficulty finding it

I have also heard that spraying half a can of waxoyl in to each of the holes in the top of the screen frame (where the roof pins sit) allows the stuff to run down the A posts inside and down to the sills. It should be done every six months.

After research I used the top performing product from practicle classics tests . The most expensive isn't always the best as this product I found is cheaper also . Even my window surround has been pumped with this .

As usual some very good tips from this forum.

has anyone used rust busters, they offer a complete process as below, not cheap and I normally like doing most thing myself but this seems pretty comprehensive.
just wonder how long they have your car?
