A good car book.

This book isn't about Stags but a lot of it is relevant for my full rebuild.
I bought this book recently for pipe dream ideas for future projects.
It cost £15 on Amazon and had good reviews.
It arrived yesterday and I intended to look at it for 10 minutes before going to bed last night; I read it for 3 hours!
Although about Jaguars, a huge amount of it I have found to be directly relevant for my Stag rebuild.
It is extremely well written, in an interesting and very honest way. The chap tells and photographs all his mistakes. It is humorous too. The photography and the paper it is printed on is really good. Unusually for a car restoration book the photographs are really well taken and clear. Every page has colour high quality photos on it. It is 360 pages. It has some advert pages in it, which I don't normally like, but seem to work in this book.
I wouldn't normally recommend a book, because what one person likes, another hates, but this one is worth a quick browse through if you are interested in car restoration and see it on a book stall.

Yes Dave I agree. I bought the book when it was first published. The guy who wrote it also wrote a series of articles in the E type Magazine about all his trials and tribulations of running the car. As a teacher, I think, he had little mechanical experience but he certainly produced a fantastic end result. Sadly he had to sell the car recently as he left his job and needed the money apparently. I haven't met him but he seems a really great guy.
