cam cover gasket " rubber " ?

Seen rubber cam cover gasket on fleebay, far pricier :

Would this give a better seal ? and stop it from fighting back when placing it on ( as with cork ) ?

i glued mine in place first with my choosen high temperature sealer. my next thought is to seal with grease to to the head face . Before i power coated my covers i also made sure i the four bolt holes were knocked back out a tad as the tend to get pressed down limiting the travel of the cover bolts , this should give me a tad more squish . Sealing them on will be last resort .

Good idea edd!!! never thoughtof that, With flat rocker covers i uaually glue in place then put on something flat like the erm, kitchen worktop, followed by a large weight.
