Went for a spin today - first time in a couple of months - noticed the clock wasn't working but didn't give it much thought. Got home to find Battery Control fuse had blown - fitted another and this blew straight away. Any ideas where to start looking?

If you disconnected the bullet connectors to them, and when you put them back you didn't push them right home, its possible you have a dead short (touching the door framework) I have seen this before

Then remove the fuse that keeps blowing and chase the continuity to earth with the metre. The parcel shelf gets in the way in the passenger footwell but it is worth the hassle and saves you testing the issue with a limited supply of fuses.
We discovered Crossy's car had a dodgy wire feeding the door switch and was blowing the same fuse as yours. We struggled to find the actual fault but traced it to the wire from the console switch to the door switch. Removed the wire problem gone away now we just have to replace the dodgy wire

Or if you have/can rig a small buzzer or lamp across the fuse contacts, if the fault is present the lamp or buzzer will be on. If it is, disconnect each item in turn controlled by that fuse and if it goes off you have found which component/circuit is causing the short.
