Lower Mounting Crossmember for J type overdrive

I am planning to convert my non overdrive gearbox to a 'J' type overdrive gearbox. I am in need of the mounting bracket part #218440, I have not had much luck locating one, can anyone help?

Also what is the difference between the non overdrive gearbox mounting bracket and a 'J" type mounting bracket?

    Thank you.

Thanks Nick, the picture is most helpful it looks like there is a deeper offset on the J type bracket, maybe it is to give clearance for the solenoid.

It's a bit of a pig to get the upper bracket on and off the arse of the overdrive. I resorted to removing one of the studs to facilitate install/removal.

I am not sure if your gearbox is out of the car or this is an old picture but it would be helpful if I could get some dimensions, specifically the offset distance of the bracket. If I am unable to purchase a J type bracket maybe I can modify the one I have.
Oh! by the way I looked up where Rolleston is on the map and did not realize it was so close to Christchurch. I was in New Zealand in 2011 visiting my sister in Auckland and I flew down to Christchurch and toured part of the South Island. I visited a classic car museum in Blenheim called "Omaka Classic Cars" they had some interesting cars as well as a Stag. I loved New Zealand and plan to revisit in the near future.

Sorry my gearbox is in the car now. I seem to have a collection of gearbox cross members I'll take a look to see if I have a spare for a Jtype.

if you try to use wrong bracket the gearbox strikes the floor of the car before the bracket can be mounted on its bolts,i had to use 4 pieces of tubular steel as spacers to drop it sufficient

Sorry I just realised I've loaned my cross member collection to a friend who just did a Toyota gearbox conversion. He's had to rush to the UK for a family emergency. May be a week or two before he's back in God's Own.

I really appreciate your help Nick, I am in no hurry as I do not plan to rebuild/convert the gearbox overdrive until the summer. We have snow still on the ground here and I do not have a heated garage and I am off to UK next week anyway, family commitments.

I've got a newly restored J type gearbox cross member at home, I'm in Brisbane until Monday, what dimensions do you need?

I am looking for the dimension between the two mount brackets welded to the cross-member and the offset distance of the crossmember. I hope that makes sense, I drew up a rough drawing and scanned it to the computer but I cannot figure out how to import it into this message. Thank you for your assistance Marco.

Further to the posts ref the rear mounting for the g/box looking at your photo just one question please,on the main plate that which is bolted to the body mine has a choice of two holes for the mounting of the rubber bloc can you remember which hole you used, the one nearest the front of the car or the other-also why there is a choice of two positions-different lengths in the O/D? Many thanks Paul (FRance).
