    fuel leak from carb

    Hi, hope you can help.

I notice fuel dripping from underneath the engine while the car was running. From the top I couldn't see a leak. I decided to take off the air box and whilst doing so noticed a puddle of fuel in the air filter box. The engine is difficult to start but will fire eventually and runs OK but the fuel is still forming a puddle under the car. Any clues? What parts do I need to fix? Is it within the competence of a numpty to do without causing more problems? I've had ever other fluid leaks but fuel is a new one. TIA Chris

    Hi
Your Needle valves that control the fuel levels in carburetors are sticking and not closing fuel supply into float chambers. Take out and blew any muck out and see if that cures leak if not replace valves. This is an easy job to do,.
