Accelerator cable
Dunno if this will help anyone but, been having a few problems establishing a reasonable tickover. Eventually the cable was the last thing to remove and check. Sure enough the inner was frayed inside the outer. But the outer was fraying inside as well. Rimmers want £10.55 + post and packing. So went looking elsewhere, as didn't really have time to wait for their delivery either. Clarks universal brake cable for MTB and road bikes part number 239566 £4.99 from Halfords and it's long enough to make two cables. In case you get the first one wrong !! Works fine. Liberal supply of superglue around the cable, leave it to set, cut the inner where the superglue is, no split ends or fraying (so far!!!)
