I took the plunge and fitted some tex door mirrors and put the clip on quarter light ones on eBay, together with two armrests.
After having my sons assistance and placing masking tape over the area, we thought we had the optimum position. Some measurements from the forum also gave us an idea where to start from.
Once fitted ,the LHS one was fine, no more guessing when reversing into the garage, but the RHS one was not good, the adjustment was very poor, so I was joining the ''nodding'' club when using it.Cheesed off with this, having spent over £70 for them,I tried the tex washer, it seemed to make it worse,.so I had a brainwave and fitted two of those washers on the same stem and hey presto, I now have a workable mirror.
If you are about to drill your door to fit these, then make sure you double check the position before drilling as there is very little adjustment, once fitted.
