    In-place radiator repairs ?

Does anyone know if it is likely that someone could repair the neck of a stag radiator in situ ? Ideally somewhere in the home counties/east anglia.
My rad has the tiniest of pin pricks just at the base of the neck. You had to watch and wait several minutes for anything to emerge. I have done a temporary repair with sealant/rubber sheet/jubilee clip which has stopped it, but of course every time I check the level I will further weaken it, and I really need to be checking the level regularly, especially after a full engine rebuild.
But I really could do without taking the rad out and/or posting it somewhere to be fixed.

I have used a type of polyester to repair a small leak in a Land Rover radiator (fan came of and made a dent/slight crack in the core), that worked very well and as far as I know is still leak free.
It's a 2 component product I got at my local autoparts store, designed for high temperatures. Just clean the area, mix, apply and let it harden.
Not sure if this would add sufficient strength to the neck, but it will stop the leak.
Alternatively, any good radiator repair shop (or even a capable local plumber) should be able to solder in place if access is not too bad.
