    Refitting Inlet manifold

As my left cylinder head needs retorquing (replacing stud) can I refit the inlet manifold in reverse order. ie right head is already torqued and down. Fit right manifold to right block and torque. Fit left manifold to left block and torque then torque down left block. Or will this confuse matters. (some thing I'm good at) Mike

I don't think it matters which way round you do it. The technique should work whichever side you start with.

Thanks Nick I thought as much. Just needed some confidence. Anyway your far enough away so won't here the big bang when I start it up. Mike

All good . It certainly pays to loosen one of the heads when refitting the inlet manifold. I am looking at making some "long bolts" for the top of the manifold with a deeper thread. Helicoils don't seem to hold that well. Mike.
