Drill the hole first to the required depth. Then regrind the drill to a flat end (I will do one for you if you want to send it here or tell me what size and I will send one to you) and redrill the hole
It can be done but you cant drill the full hole with one. So that's why I said to drill the rest of the hole first. I guess you will want to tap the hole as well? So make sure your hole is deep enough to clear the tapered end of the tap (Even a "bottom" tap (I don't mean a slight kick to the nether region) has a tapered thread at the very end so you cant thread fully to the bottom of a hole)
If you was using a pillar drill you could use a milling tool however I would not recommend using freehand as you may make the hole oval.
Also agree with 73stagman drill the hole then resharpen the drill with a near flat end and finish off the final bit
Ps why is it so important to have a flat bottom in the hole?
what im trying to do, is drill a door hinge, the idea is to be able to get oil into the hinge, you can drill the hinge, but i dont want to hit the pin im using 3.5m drill bit
Agreed. Or just remove the pin grease it up and forget it for another 40 years
not so easy on a stag hinge, the pin has a rounded collar that you need to cut of, than you can remove the pin if your lucky, the pin is more than likely rusted in place,
