    Best Steering wheel?

Whilst I dont mind the standard steering wheel, I have been cursed with super-model legs, especially when I shave them, subsequently I find, even with the seat all the way back, its a bit cramped in there and a bit of a struggle to get in, so, I figured having sailed through its MOT, the car deserves a present such as a new steering wheel that's an inch or two smaller than standard, so whats the loveliest I can buy?

Is yours a Mk1 or a Mk 2? The Mk1 wheel is quite a bit bigger. My first car was Mk2, my next is Mk1, and the size of the steering wheel was a big shock. I bought a 2nd hand Mk2 wheel.

I fitted a 14" moto-lita wheel, looks great and is much more comfortable than the standard wheel.

        Mines a MK2
I already have a 14 incher but it squashes against my leg unless I drive with the door open, looking for something a tad smaller.

There is a non standard steering wheel shown in the yellow Stag restoration article in the April mag that looks quite small.
If you like it you could contact the owner for more details.

Ah!, I see what you mean now, he wasnt listing a 13 inch for a Stag but today answered my e-mail to him saying he will make me one up.
Very reasonable and they look like the real thing, any idea who and where they are made?
Ive bought one anyway, 13 inch and dished.

                            Pete,

The downside with a 13" wheel is that it obscures the warning light cluster, Voltage gauge and Clock (or oil pressure gauge). But you do get used to it.........
