I thought it has been on before but that had some overspray on the suspension and at least one other thing that didnt seem right but this seems to be close toperfect
I can spot two faults; It's an auto and he forgot to replace theTriumph engine!
Stunningjob though, I'm salivating looking at the pictures, although was beginning to lose the will to live by the time I'd read about the distributor restoration!
He also comments about not removing the dash. Alarm bells ring to a certain extent because this is a very simple job and is pretty mucha requirementto get at the heater matrix which would certainly haveneeded some sort of restoration effort if he was going to the extremes he is claiming to have gone to on the rest of the car.
Also, call me cynical, butif this is a£30K restoration; why is he selling it so soon? If he did the work himself, I doubt he'd seen much change from £25K once he'd priced his hours on top of the car and parts, and I doubt it will make £30K on Ebay?!
would you buy this or the cherished white one with 700 miles, its lovely to look at but i would not enjoy using it , too wet? too hot? where do i park? eeeeh a lorry that might drop a stone chip........lovely but not for me. oh and its
Stunning car! - Being "picky" the only criticisms I can think of would be slightly too much chrome for my taste e.g. the servo and too many polybushes. Polybushes in the diff carrier and subframe mounts can take the edge off the Stag's smoothness (trust me I know). Would be great if I had a Stag where they were the only things that were slightly less than perfect though....
