    Technical specs

I tried Rimmers but they couldn't help, does anyone know where I could lay hands on technical specs?
Front spring rates are my first concern (ad's claiming 30% uprates are all very well, but what the ... are the originals ?).
Got a total rebuild under planning (not the cheque-book variety, mine isn't big enough) so there's a whole lot of technical stuff I'll be needing.

Think laterally - the people most likely to have such info. are the ones who make the springs?

I'm doing just the same as you BTW, started this morning.

    Good Luck

Go here: http://www.chriswitor.com/proddetail...FRR475&cat=112 click "get datasheet" I haven't checked his front spring listing but I'd expect same data available.

Don't think they make springs only shockers.

Yep, that's exactly what they both said........the springs are 'bought in' items!

The rates are documented, can't remember where now, it's back in the 90's when I had LEDA make me some lower springs for my Stag.
i can remember not altering the rate of the rears, those being 400 lb/in, and I think the standard fronts are 120 ish...I found it interesting at the time for the Triumph 2500 front springs where something like 160. I put this down to the fact that the Stag having an anti roll bar they softened the springs, the 2500 did not have an anti roll bar.
This is all from memory, 25 years ago, so don't take it as gospel!
