Split fuel pipe to carb. Should i change them all?

Thought I could smell petrol quite a bit. Investigated after a run and one of the pipes to a carb after a T piece has a split. Taped it up as a temporary repair. Hope to get home ok!

Should I replace the whole set? As far as I know they're all the same age. Or is it better to just change the short broken bit. If so what spec of pipe is it? I can only find the whole set for sale on Rimmers and eBay.

I would change them all . If you don't want pay the Brothers prices get a length of fuel pipe from you local motor factors and make your own by cutting to length

I think I'll do the lot. Just means a bigger job. Slightly cheaper on eBay from Numpty9 than Rimmers.

Hi Chris,
I would go to your local mower shop and get some genuine Briggs and Stratton fuel line.I used to have my own shop till I retired and have used it on my stag.It comes in a roll and you can buy whatever length you want and make to suit.It is very strong and also made to resist heat as on rider mowers etc. the fuel lines are very close to the exhaust and engine.Good luck.

Chris if you do make your own up be sure there are no bits of rubber left inside the cut ends or you will have problems with a blockage ! ooer matron

Thanks all. I'd already bought the full set from Numpty9. It comes with the T piece which is probably suspect anyway. I know I'll have paid more than just buying the pipe but I will know I've got it all to a good standard. Such was the vapour from the fuel I felt dizzy! A short piece of gaffer tape stopped that and got us home.

It was our first proper day out in the Stag with sunshine. Hoping for more.......
