oil pressure switch reomval on automatic ?

Fitted the ( chrome ) oil pressure gauge and fed the tube behind dash and today going to remove oil pressure switch and fit T- Piece etc but unlike friends " manual box " oil pressure switch mine looks like it going to be a swine of job to take out ?
Can only see removal of down pipes and oil filter as only way to access this or are we missing something like an easier way ( without removing engine ) ?

HI Trev,

There are a number of different designs of oil pressure switch. Mine (original, I think) had the nut part hidden underneath the main body which, I guess, may be like yours ? (Pic below to describe, although it's not a Stag one)

If so, I, eventually, managed it with one of these (bought specially but come in useful elsewhere since).

B&Q have several basin wrenches, here's the cheapest, take the new switch with you to see which one siuts best.

I was laughed at for my suggestion but then found it was adopted later in the thread.

Use the method at your own risk etc

Costs = one new oil pressure sender, the money you save on the wrench and the time saved not applying it to a stuck sender could be usefully employed pouring gin when you finish.
