I have just been looking at a faulty door (courtesy) light switch; the contacts are loose and it needs replacing. The only door switches I can find are single terminal types that earth on opening the door, so switching the lights on. My switches are a two terminal type that interrupt a live feed to the puddle and B post lamps when the door is closed. Earthing any one of these two wires blows the fuses. Do any of you know where I can get the earlier type of door switch from, or do I have to modify my wiring? Many thanks.

I ordered a similar switch from James Paddock. It went in easily enough but when it came to shutting the door, I found the plunger portion was too short to switch off the puddle lamp. I now have four layers of green line tape on the inside of the forward frame, which can't be seen, unless you are looking for it! However I would prefer a more permanent solution!
Jon.
