    Tyre pressure for 195 70 14

Anyone using 195 70 14's on Wire wheels, tell me what pressure there putting in their tyre?

After visiting ATS, National Tyres,Kwik fitI found only one tyre fitter that could balance wire wheels (Big City tyres Nottingham) and had stock, they said 34psi which I thought was a bit high?

    Thanks for any information

I would have put 32 psi Front & Rearand 34 psi Rear if loaded!

The ROM says Front 26 and rear 30, for either 185s or 175s all conditions

So why should it be more for wider tyres? how much would you recommend for my 205/70/14s?.

I'm currently using 30psi F+R, any less just looks wrong, I'm thinking I should go up to 32-34, it might help with the mpg too!

I have always found this tyre pressure to low for even the standard tyres, also on modern cars you get various tyre pressures for different driving conditions.

For example my Mondeo recommends 33PSi Front and 30PSi rear normal driving but for fast driving35PSi and 41PSi.

So it is with motorcycles different conditions require different pressures!

Why should it be any different on the Stag?

I run mine at 26 front 30 rear and have the tyres inflated with nitrogen. Goes round corners as if its on rails so I happy with these pressures!!

I was just quoting the ROM! I agree it is normal to increase TPs for high speeds or high loads, I suppose that it also depends on tyre construction too, maybe the 'correct' tyres have stiffer side walls or something? I'm not sure that the TP is critical as long as your within a few psi either way it should still be safe.
