Rebuilding a halfshaft

Unfortunately it looks as though I need to change one of my halfshafts. I have one -previously removed from my other Stag - and I also have a rebuild kit.

What sort of a job is it to dismantle the old one and rebuild it?

Hi Robert,

If you are talking about changing the UJs, then this is fairly straightforward. Just follow the ROM. Remember to align the UJs with each other.

If, however, you want to change the wheel bearing, this is a different matter and shouldn't be attempted without the correct gear. Too easy to mess up the drive flange. Better to get an exchange hub.

cannot concour with Dave enough its a specialist tool and press job def not for the home repairer.
