    Engine Turning

    Hi All,

Sorry for basic question (again) - what is the best way of turning the engine manually for setting points gaps etc ? My car is an auto so I can't put it in gear and slowly push the car to get the correct position for points setting and there doesn't seem to be a readily accessible crankshaft pulley nut to get a spanner around....

Any ideas would be most welcome.

    Thanks,

    Andy

Take 1 bolt out of the timing marker quadrant on the front cover and swivel it to one side, then you need to fit a pr of 18" stillsons on the shaft behind the pulleys.
