New SOC member and first time Stag owner

    Good evening

I thought I'd just post to say 'Hello'
I have just picked up my first Stag this weekend and have started to get stuck into it! It's a Carmine red Mk2 with blown heads (apparently) that has been stood for 19 years. It's mostly in bits mechanically at the moment and comes with a load of spares. So I've got lots of multiple bits that I don't need and not many bits that I do! I've never worked on a Stag before so the jigsaw is quite challenging.

I have a feeling that I might be on here a bit asking for help and advice.

Hi Simon - welcome to the Club and the Forum. Good choice of car and with the second best colour

There's plenty of folk on here who can offer help, advice and some banter. Unfortunately I don't fall into the first two categories !

Also, you live close to Stag Central so there may well be lots of personal attention coming your way (in the nicest possible way )

Yep, welcome from me also and good luck.

Look forward to hearing from you on here and, as others have said, I'm sure you'll get lots of help.

        Cheers

Simon - Welcome to the group

Also I am a relative newbie in Stag ownership - this site really works on advice/tech issues and in the search for the elusive spare part

Enjoy the puzzle that lies ahead

              Thanks for that.
I haven't got my SOC pack yet being a new boy so I'm not sure where everything is or what region I'm in.
I know I've just done a load of money with Rimmer's though!

                See it as an investment.

If you hadn't spent it on the Stag, you'd only have frittered it away on luxuries like food.

                Welcome to the club.

Hi Simon and a warm welcome to the club.....just had my engine rebuilt after blown heads and v happy with work. Let me know if you would like details of who did the work for me. Bit of a trek up here to Norfolk but they did a nice job.

Oh good; another nutter in the cage.

                    Greetings Simon and welcome.

Sadly; the sort of help you so desperately need has yet to be revealed by the sciences. However, you are in the company of equally deficient intelectuals who will be only too happy to assist you with the perpetuation of your delusions.

I'll start. Go and have a good long look at your pile of bits - and if any two bits appear to be the same; one of them is wrong....

                    Have fun,

                    TBO

                          Thank you.
                          I'm in Prestwood.
You can't miss my house... it's the one with the scruffy Stag on the drive and the shouting wife!

It's already cost me a handbag!
