    What a glorious "longest Day"

    Hi All

With Su being away for the weekend and the weather forecast looking promising for the "longest" day of the year, a trip to the seaside in the Stag just had to be done So, Toby and I took the latest edition to our clan (Bumble) to the beach. "Havoc" our Scottish Terrier who has appeared in several photos on this forum and attended all of the North West Forum runs, passed away in April. The house seemed too empty without a hound and so "Bumble" who is a four month old Beagle who came to live with us two weeks ago.

Route for the day was as follows:-

Crewe - Tiverton - Waverton - Chester (Machine Mart) - A5104 to Broughton - A55 to Mold - A541 to Denbigh - A543 to Blychau - A544 to Llansannan - B5382 to Llangernyw - A548 to near Llanddoged - B5113 to Colwyn Bay - A547 to Llandudno Junction - Great Orme (for lunch at the "Rest and be Thankful" cafe)

Later on we went onto the beach at Penmaenmawr which involved a blast through the A55 tunnels at Conwy.

Return was via a BELLOW up the Synchant Pass before passing through the castle walls in Conwy then A470 to Tal-y-cafn - B5279 and B5206 to Llanwrst - B5427 and B5113 to Pentrefoelas - A5 to Cerrigydrudion B5105 to Ruthin - A525 to Wrexham - A534 to Nantwich and home in Crewe

As you will determine, we did the scenic route both there and back home again, 200 miles of top down motoring in glorious sunshine We saw a red Stag in Conwy, was it anybody on here?

    Cheerio

Great day out Bruce, with super pictures....

Surprised to see your route included Tiverton. There must be another one up your way somewhere, or it was a heck of a detour......

Wasn't a bad shortest day own here either quite mild sunny weather. Washed the car mowed the lawns went to a party and watched the All Blacks thump England. Happy Days. Hangover this morning was less memorable!
