Decided to have a go at the Stag as I've had a holiday and don't quite hate it as much as I did before I went away. Fitted a new alternator which seems fine and decided to fit my PCV valve as things were going well.
I've had an oil catch tank fitted since I fitted the Weber about a year ago, anyway I removed it and realised that the top actually comes off so I could easily remove it in order to drill it and fit the PCV valve.
When I removed the top there was a small amount of oil in the can and drilling dwarf from when the take off points were drilled into the can. Hopefully non has gone through the engine. I would suggest anyone fitting or who has fitted an oil catch tank check theirs. I bought mine from Newark kit car show and it's about 2 inches in diameter by 6 inches tall and has a site glass pipe fitted to the side. The top and bottom unscrew. Can't remember the name of the supplier but I have an idea so will check their website and send them an e-mail.
