    The eyes have it

Went out for 100 mile drive in the Stag on Saturday and when I reached home my eyes were streaming and resembled plastic bags bulging with water.
After a few hours and some antihistamine consumption I decided in investigate that faint whiff of petrol from the rear of my MG. I crawled underneath, very gently prodded one of the flexible fuel pipes which promptly broke and sprayed petrol over my face. Fortunately I was wearing safety specs but you know how petrol can find the slightest gaps and my eyes received another assault.

No lasting damage. All flexible fuel lines on Stag and MG now replaced and I'm off to Boots for some industrial strength Piriton.

    Best wishes

Pollen counts are very high, being beseiged by people with hayfever symptoms just now at work...and no, there is no magic cure this year compared to last year etc

Wear sunglasses when you drive to reduce the air flow into your eyes and buy some sodium cromoglycate eye drops. Very cheap, can use as often as you like and pretty effective.
