    Headlamp replacement.

I notice that the replacement headlamp kits seem to now be Hella not Cibie. I had Cibies on my TR and they were better than many moderns. However, having tracked down a source for 5.75 inch Cibies, they are much more than the 7 inch ones.

Then the thought occurred to me that BMW E30 series 3 ( and possibly later 3 series too) might fit and save a ton of cash if sourced from the local breaker. Has anyone here tried this? Do they just plug in or is a lot of wire chopping necessary? I should add that I would definitely fit relays anyway.

Alternatively, if the BMW idea is a non starter, is the massive price premium on Cibies over Hella or Bosch worth it on the Stag in the opinion of other forumites.

I fitted flat lens on one of my Stag's with side light bulb in them looked good and much brighter.

I think the BMW lamps need some fettling to fit in the original bowls.

DOH ! Just realised - the bowls might need fettling as the lamps are glass
