I have had my old steering rack and a drive shaft lying around in the barn now for a couple of years as I thought it would be barely economic to send them back from down here in SW France. However, recently I was talking to the supplier (Rimmers) about the leak from the new rack at the HP inlet (now fixed - faulty insert) and they said that they would arrange for their courier to pick up the parts free of charge and then they would reimburse me 100% of the exchange charge. So about 3 weeks ago I did just that and packed them up neatly and yesterday received £240 in my account.
Rimmers (and others) come in for a bit of stick now and again, but I think this was pretty good service.
Now what shall I buy with my £240?
