    What product?

    Hi

Just about to clean the interior properly for the first time and wondered:

    1. Which vinyl restorer does a great job on all interior vinyl, dashboard, T bar etc etc?
    2. What is the best polish or cleaner to buff up the interior wood trim?

Guess what I will be doing over the next few days!!

    Cheers

I'm a big fan of autoglym products. Their 'vinyl & rubber care' does not leave surfaces unnaturally shiny or sticky. For the wood trim I use 'super resin polish' - use with care as it's lightly abrasive, but this lets you control the amount of sheen you want on the woodwork, or rather on the lacquer which covers it. Once the wood is how you want it, a damp cloth should suffice.

I have used Auto Glym Interior shampoo and Halfords version. Don't waste money on the Auto Glym, the halfords one is just as good. You will need something like a nail brush to work it into the grain and the basket weave on the seats. Then wipe it off with a soft cloth, microfibre is best but anything will do the job.

I just use household furniture polish on the wood. Its laquered so nothing will really restore it (short of stripping and re-laquering) so pretty much anything that adds a slight sheen is the best you cn do.

Atually +1 on the autoglym products, just not the shampoo. Their bumper care stuff is brilliant on modern black/grey plastic bumpers!

I bought some cleaning stuff from Asda yesterday, 2 for a fiver I thought I would give them go and was pleased! the dashboard stuff is lemon scented and a matt finish, I just used this all over anything that was bolted down . I got their tyre shine stuff too and happy with that stuff as well! a fiver well spent

Borrow your wife's Mr Sheen which will work as well as any of the stuff from Halfords.
Bereft of a Triumph of any description.

I use the Autoglym interior shampoo with a toothbrush and scrubbing brush depending on the area to clean the vinyl first followed by Plexus plastic polish for the whole interior including seats, dash wood, dash board, centre console and soft top window. Plexus can also be used to clean plastic garden furniture, dvds cds etc. Fantastic stuff
