Well here I am again after quite a long break raising the funds to get my Stag restored properly this time.
I've bitten the bullet and the car was stripped back to bare metal/rust/botched welding/filler/unknown substances/welding a three year old could have done etc. I'll give a full update in due course but I think I've had almost every panel replaced.
Result is that the car is looking good with a few more panels to be fitted.
Now it is time to consider paint/rustproofing etc.
On the underside and inside the arches I'm thinking of Epoxy Mastic (probably in black) from Rustbuster with some dinitrol over the top- Do any of you more experienced souls have a better idea?
I have seen a lot of cars with gleaming undersides but this car will get driven by me at any opportunity and so I want to protect it from the elements without having to steam clean it every time I take it out.
I'll have plenty of dinitrol on the inside of the panels as well.
Many thanks in advance for your replies
