Newly back from a very enjoyable week-end at Harrogate despite the rain on Sunday. Thanks to all the organisers.

The four "Grampian Stags" that made the trip from Aberdeen, a 700 mile round trip with no break-downs barring a few minor niggles!

[Staggering About]

The story behind the "Ill" Stag. The car wouldn't start in the morning. The helpful TR4 owner had a look at it before we arrived. He found that the carbs were loose on the manifold due to the thread being stripped and the securing bolt was loose. The owner said that it was like that when he bought it! When I showed him mine he was a bit surprised. He phoned the breakdown to be towed to a garage to have an insert installed. The breakdown couldn't tow himso he put a ratchet strap around the engine to hold the carbs tight against the manifold! He then drove it to the garage where the mechanic charged him £50 to fit the insert. How it ran in the first place is a mystery to me.
