Quarter of an hour ago got a call from a sports shop a few miles away from whom we had ordered some medals to give to the winners of the Pool competition we hold on sight during the Summer Holidays, saying that the medals had arrived and would we like to pick them up now as tomorrow is a local Bank Holiday.
Bloody hot but jumped in the Stag and went to pick them up with sweat pouring off my shirt, and just got back. Stag temperature gauge never moved off it's normal 1/4 position although I could here the electric van whirling away all the time I was driving (I have a green warning light that tells me when it cuts on/off).
It's just turned 4.45pm and I thought I would check the outside temperature on a small portable gauge I have, and the pics below show it was between 40 & 50 degrees celsius in direct sunlight. The heat was not coming from the bonnet by the way - but from that yellow star in the sky.
Just goes to show that with an electric fan fitted, a normal Stag doesn't overheat when human beings here need to spend most of the time in the Pool to cool off.
PS. Sorry I forgot to take a pic of the Stags temperature gauge, but I can assure you once it had reached it's normal warmed up position, it never moved any further.
