Tyre valve

I have a tyre valve that occassionally will not seal and the air is kept in by the dust cap. Pulled the valve itself out last night and no damage to be seen around the seal, so refitted it with the special tool and its held it air. My question is, are car valves all the same inners and are they the same as push bikes, as they look the same and have the same ratings. If so, I have enough inner tubes left from the kids bikes and can swap them over or at least know I have a spare? Or, my other option is to call into kwik fit and see if they will let me have an valve inners without trying to get me to revalve and rebalance tyre etc

Car tyres always use valves known as "Schrader type valves" like some bike tyres. The same "type" of valves (sometimes with different sealing materials) are used in many applications including aircon and hydraulic accumulators. Some bike tyres also use "Presto" type valves which are completely different.

Just go0ne to have a look at an old push bike inner tube and they are different. My Stag ones have a red band / seal on them and the one from the push bike is smaller and has a black seal. Same valve dust cap etc and same pressure spec but shorter.
