Nothing runs like a .... Stag

A mildly amusing story to relay from our recent 950 mile road trip in the Stag from our home in Kamloops, BC down to Tacoma, Washington for the All Triumph Drive In. We arrive at the US border and we are asked about the car, the US border guard inquired if it was a John Deere. I tend to keep responses as short as possible at the border, and never wander off in to humour, and so to the question”Is it a John Deere?” I simply replied “No”; I didn’t really know what he was getting at. A few minutes later, in to Washington State, we passed a farm equipment store and saw this sign; I got it and had to laugh:

I've heard that one as well...these old Saskatchewan farmers

Good to hear that your Stag did the long trip just fine! I'm going to book mine in for Monarch's 4 speed autobox conversion in the next few weeks. Otherwise it's running great!

The first time I went to work in mine they all took the pee saying that my car was a John Deere. The sound is far better than a John Deere though!
