What 1990's modern classic would you fancy to complement your Stag?

    Hi all,

I just thought I'd add a little to the recent discussions about alternative classics and introduce something a little bit more modern, yet cars that will soon enough be proper classics in their own right.

One classic I've drooled after since it was launched in 1992 is the Volvo 850 T5R Sportswagon in yellow, and I'd happily use it as my daily driver instead of our Mazda 6 estate. Only problem is it'd cost a small fortune to tax here in Ireland, so it'll have to wait until I've frittered away all my spare cash (what's that???) on the Stag and I'm solvent again...

I've always fancied the BMW 8 series ever since the MD of the company I worked at had one as a company car.

I still think they look fantastic, but I'd imagine they'd not be cheap to run....
Bereft of a Triumph of any description.

Honda S2000, although I suspect having to wait 'till the engine revs to 6000rpm before it livens up would prove tedious.

Like another peter it would have to be a BMW 8 series. I had a Oxford green BMW 840 about 4 years ago and it was awesome however my next one will have to be the 850CSI whilst they are still affordable.

The E9 is a lovely car but not sure that they made them in the 1990s?
