    tr 6 spoiler

After reading the tread about front spoilers l ordered a tr 6 spoiler from the Bros. Well my spoiler came, but it seems to be way out from fitting. I thought from a few of the posts it was a good fit. . . . . So. How did you guys fit it ? any pics, please.

Not the best photos I know, but as good as I could get.

I had to use washers as spacers for the 2nd and 4th bolts, but it seemed to fit ok other than that.

P.S. Had to take out the radiator grill to get the nuts on the end 2 bolts - fingertip job for those and the 2nd and 4th ones.

        Hello,

I had to use 3 mm plastic spacers for bolts no. 2 and 4. Other than that it was an easy job.

        Good luck!
        Dieter.

3mm sounds about right - and probably better than washers!

          Good luck from me too!

I got a TR6 fiberglass spoiler from Paddocks.
It fitted straight on to the car. Two end fixings were done with self tapping screws, the other three with bolts and lock nuts.
It fitted neatly on to the car, no gaps, And therefor no need for any silicon. Looks like it belongs there.
Easiest job that I have done on the Stag. Helps with cooling and front end stability.would highly recommend it .

            P. S. Stagard aka Graham, no dropped H's.

Mine fitted fine, used 1/4" UNF rivnut inserts.
                  Cheers Ian A

5x m4 rivnuts and m4 bolts with large washers, no packing required. I also used clear silicon as belt and braces as at 100 mph there will be one hell of a force on it.
