i cannot really see that it matters, i would prefer to keep it soc only if it keeps out the dodgy stuff, but its not like we are safeguarding national secrets...it's a car club!!

Whilst I am very aware of the implications of spam etc, I cannot see some sad muppet form the far east being interested in our site. I can be wrong but the odds are against it.

IMO opening up the forum would not be a problem at all, it would be an improvement. Keeping it securely closed is surely against one of the Clubs aims, ie to promote interest in the Stag! Let everyone see what we say about our cars, and let non-members contribute their knowledge and experiences too. It work well on many other classics forums.

Yes SOC member and have been for 15 plus years. This forum really is what the club needs to move forward and bring in new younger members. Whilst I don't post regularly it makes useful,interesting and amusing reading. It ain't broke so let's not fix it.
