If it helps - I got my brake light switch from Dingocroft in Downley (High Wycombe).
They are Landrover specialists - but seeming the Stag shares it's brake light switch with the Landy.
Mine was fitted several years ago - and still going strong.

That's what happened to this one Chris ,as I slammed the back of the hood down the clinch nut obviously gave way ,I didn't realize that had happened and just thought it hadn't engaged with the catch so I slammed again this time the shaft was out of line due to the nut giving way and so it ripped a peace out off the covering on the tonneau cover and then snapped in two .Not a happy man at the momentMK 2 1977 FLAMENCO RED ,WEBER ,BELT DRIVEN WATER PUMP.
