Just stripped the rear seat down to the frame, or what was left of it. Anyone else had this problem. .....Fix or try to find a good one ??

Its quote common, but you should be able to get a useable one from a breaker. -
I agree with Chris but, TBH, it doesn't matter much really. Even if the frame has rotted away I've found that the foam tends to hold it's seat shape pretty well on it's own.
Of course, even if nobody else can see it, WE know it's not right which is why I ended up getting another frame for my rotted one.

My guess its the base that has rotted away..... the one on my car currently is rotten but the foam is OK and the covering is OK. I have another which is the complete opposite!!
It has been painted in rust proofer black gloss and is being kept nice and dry ready to be recovered when I get the chance!

Thanks guys, stripped the front ones today...hmmmmmmm guess l need to find a sandblaster and powder coater. And some slider bases now....Comment
