why Gresley is always smiling

I recently bought a land rover freelander after about three weeks the alternator packed up so I returned it to the garage as it was under warranty so not too worried and it gave me the opportunity to use the recently restored stag and iron out any problems that may pop up though constant use .The repairs to the land rover has taken a lot longer than expected so I used the Stag as my daily drive,used it for going to work and for socializing,going to the supermarket ect ect So as the title says I now know why Gresley (Brian )smiles a lot if it wasn't for the fact that we need a large vehicle to tow the caravan I would I sell the land rover and just keep the stag what a fantastic experience even going to work is fun now I can recommend it .

Besides, Triumph made the Stag to be used, not a garage queen...

Have a read of this months Triumph World there is an article there where stag owner tows a caravan and uses car everyday. You may be able to smile every day. Dave

Funny really as I have a Freelander as my daily drive (an 03 BMW engined TD 4) and I love them both equally as much but for completely different reasons and abilities.
I would love to use the Stag daily but it just can't do everything I need it to.

I didn't realize that you used yours as a daily drive Russ ,you are so right though they where made to be used ,

Stagx790 I have given it a lot of thought in the past about towing with the Stag but when I looked into it the van is to heavy
The Land rover came back today (a week to fit an alternator) but after the success of the passed week I think it is going to be sitting in the drive quite a lot in future
