Dead battery

Hi everyone,

I asked the question the other day about the random volt meter , further info I started the stag up today and the volt meter was reading under 11v, pulled up at a garage to buy some fuel and the car then started to really under perform , very hesitant to perform ... I park her back in my garage only to try and restart the car and nothing just a tick ,the alternator is new but the battery seems to me very old , would this have caused the car to play up as she has electronic ignition . I have put the battery on charge as it reads very flat on the charger ..
