On my rear lights the left and right hand indicators are very dim, I have checked the bulbs on a battery and when connected they are very bright. I then put them back into the light and put a wire from the battery earth to the earth on the bulb holder but no difference any help would be grateful, the side, brake and reverse lights are all OK cheers. It could be as simple as a bit of corrosion in the connectors. I would replace the bullet sockets, that is cheap, then clean the bullet plugs on the wiring with a dremel brush. Similar on the multi connectors except since you cant replace the sockets easily, clean then with some wire wool wrapped round a dremel drill bit or something similar.
Lamp sockets are notoriously poor in the earthing; new ones can be even worse than old ones so I clean the old ones and solder them up. All my lights are really bright after that treatment.
