Headrest thingy....

So, seats all stripped and painted and ready (nearly) for trimming .. I have found that where the headrest goes into, one of the seats has a nice plastic roller like thingy, and that the other has a metal coil thingy. These hold the headrest in place when being adjusted. Now l'm thinking plastic thingy is better than metal coil thingy ( which is broken). Anyone got a plastic thingy going spare....

Also looking for a couple of good height adjuster parts...?? anyone ......

Eve. Julian. Inside the seat is a tube that the headrest slides into. To stop it at a given height there is a coiled metal spring (or plastic roller) like thing that goes across said tube.

Sorry Malc, for some reason I thought you were after seat height adjuster parts, which I may have.

However I'm afraid I haven't got any headrest adjuster parts

Ah ha....Yes, sorry l am looking for those as well...(forgot for a mo....) looking for handles and screws and two non rusty adjusting units.......My seats metal look like they must have sat outside with the roof down for ages. More rust coloured than black.....lol

What would be ideal, in an ideal world, would be a pair of like new complete seat runners................

I think I may have a pair of handles but I probably won't be able to check for a few days. I'll try to remember to look but just jog my memorfy if you don't hear from me in a few days.

Well l managed to clean up the adjusting parts, but really they could do with some nice chrome handles Julian..... anyone got some l could buy ??

Hi again Malc,

Curiosity got the better of me and I've just been out to my garage to search for those handle adjusters. Sadly, I still can't find them, although I'm still sure I've got at least two somewhere. If I ever find them I'll let you know however it isn't looking too promising I'm afraid.
