    Seat belt warning switch

Hi all. I'm looking for the switch that goes under the front seat cushion, and the seatbelt socket centre bit with the sensor wires . . . .any ideas where l could get 1 ???

Also...do l need 2 of them or only for the passenger seat ?? Thanks

Both sockets are wired to operate the light on the dash if the belt isn't buckled up, but only the passenger seat has the pressure switch which breaks the supply to the warning light if there isn't a passenger. Best of luck with your search!

Ah thanks Mike. That's good as l have 1 sensor I bought on flebay. Just need the centre socket part now then. Did the UK cars have all the seat belt warning wiring as well ? My Yank car did at one point and that's what i'm trying to get working. My LHD European car has a sensor in the driver seat but not connected to anything........

                Hi Malc,

I know I've got a couple of seat belt pressure switches. I'll look one out when I look for your seat height adjuster knob Malc.

                Cheers

                    Hi Malc,

I had a search today and found some things, but ..............

Unbelievably, I've found three, yes THREE, seat belt pressure switches, however I couldn't find any seat handles , even though I'm sure I've got some somewhere.

However, as I write this, I've just had a thought as to where they may be so I'll try to have another look tomorrow.

                    Cheers

                    Julian

Thanks for that. The car has a new US wiring loom from Autosparks so l'm hoping they put the right wires in it...lol. My original seatbelt warning parts are looking a bit sad and am not sure that they will work. So i'm trying to find replacements. I hear that many UK cars had the seatbelt warning parts fitted.

Ah, l guess l used wrong term. Not the centre console but the seatbelt receiver behind the handbrake leaver. The seatbelt receiver should have four wires coming out of it. this is so that it make earth contact when the seatbelt is inserted.
