For a change - some good news

With all the issues folk report on here, I thought it would be a good idea to report some good news for a change!

Buttercup got put away straight after the Silverstone Classic, and for a variety of reasons had been left to her own devices in the garage ever since.

Sunday I decided to go for a trundle - she started first time, and then proceeded to behave impeccably for the run out. Even No6 cam followers quietened down! All dials exactly where you would want them.

Hardly any water in the V nor oil on the garage floor, not bad for a month's standing!

    So sometimes Stags behave.
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Yes, great when the car appreciates being taken out, a bit like women really, taken out, money spent on them etc. Difference is, they dont answer you back

Very true indeed - women have their uses as well though

Im currently running mine as an every day car to and from work, for shopping and even used it to move some boxes from one house to the next when we moved. It is now kept outside under a cover (new from Halfords on Saturday) and its behaving beautifully. I have a minor issue with a leaky roof (note to ones self; the cover needs to be on EVERY night Neil!!) but it drives, noisily, fast, fun, sticks to the road like .... to a blanket and turns heads and starts conversations every time I park it up almost. Now done three thousand miles in it since April!!

          Neil

just had to have my screen resealed following a new screen and rubber on the 15th July ( noticed a leak in the corner whilst sitting in it, out of the rain on Bank Holiday Monday!) and the fitter commented I'd done over 1000 miles since he fitted the screen!

Initially I thought he'd got it wrong, but probably did half of that on a short break to Great Yarmouth at the end of July, so could be right - it soon mounts up. The car is ( crossed fingers, touch wood etc etc) running really well and much better for using it.
