Carb jets

Hello all
I'm planning to change my needles and jets over the weekend, I've been looking at some earlier posts, and noticed there are some conflicting views on the depth of the carb jet.
Can anyone confirm what it should be, please.
I'm leaning towards 2mm from the bridge to the outer edge, not the recess.

Hi steve.
When i rebuilt mine, pre webber, i did them at 2 mm to the shoulder. This gave me the option to tap them lower if required when they were tuned up. Seemed like the logical thing to do! I think the books state 2.3 mm if i remember correctly, but its not clear if this was to the center recess or the shoulder, and the recess was approx .3 of a mm , so the 2mm is probably good.

Thanks for the confirmation Dave, I've found a few depths mentioned but 2mm seems to be the favourite.
