my first stag oh dear

With noise like that it may be something catching on the front pulley's or a bearing going on the alt/PAS/Air con or even the starter motor. Metal on metal noise from The actual engine is not common as you normal hear the big ends knocking first through lack of oil or noisy tappets that stay noisy. If it is defiantly coming from the engine then that's bad, very bad.
We ran an engine with no coolant see what would happen and it took a fair while for it to start to go wrong. When it did finally seize there was't much noise it just stopped. We let it cool and the thing ran fine again but it was a Jap engine.

got chain cover off teeth on crank cogs chewed on sides some teeth about 5mm wide others 2 mm jack shaft gog worn on the sides.
compresion range from 130 to 140
ordered chains and cog set and a big manual
manual to hit car with

hi all my stag has been stading best part of 10 years before i bought it but was runnin g ok on seeing it .but due to high oil consumption called the ring be stuck .heads have been off recently so take it bores are ok. question is .is there something i can pour into plug holes to try and unstick them without running the engine
