Has anyone fitted electric door mirrors to their Stag? There must be a number of cars with electric mirrors that could be adapted to the stag. Would probably need to be painted ones to match the body colour. Anyone got anyideas?

I have them on mine, they were fitted by a previous owner and have been told they were a dealer fit option back in the late 70's - mine was registered 1/1/1978 - I am also told that they are similar to those fitted to the XJ6 of that era.
The controls are two toggle switches on a bracket under the dash that move the mirror in steps rather than the smooth action of the 'modern' mirror.

Personally speaking you can't beat the US specificationdoor mirrors. Not electric, but joy stick.
Just do a search for "AMC mirror" on ebay USA, use the jaguar XJS/XJ6 interior chrome bezel and jobs a carrot

Mine has "joystick" mirrors - it came with 'em as standard - they are quite cool, if insanely over-sensitive. If you so much as cough while driving, you end up with a lovely view of the outside of your door!
