Jubilee clips

I have used various jubilee clips fir the cooling hoses including the stainless steel ones. These were good but you can over tighten them as they don't bite when you do them up as the metal is too hard.

I am interested in getting the old fashioned ones that have the wire with the nut and bolt. Has anyone bought a set, is there a set like for a Stag or do you have to make a set up?

As Dave says, Paddocks stock them .I fitted a set to our Stag during its resto in 2010. I removed some of them yesterday whilst taking out the rad to do the chains. All still in great condition and will be going back on again.

Over the years I have discovered that they stock all sorts of things that are not listed on their website. Sometimes it pays to call them

I can't see them as a set, just individual sizes. But as Bruce says, give them a call, or send an email, and I'm sure they will oblige.

Good to know padocks do them, I need some fresh ones for my old tractor as these were the original type used my Massey Ferguson. At a show an anorak once told me that the clips used by MF were the wire type but the thermostat by pass hose should have "Jubilee" clips as this hose came ready fitted when the engine arrived from Perkins and Perkins used this type of clip. Sad or what.

On a serious note, from past experiences I prefer the wire type over worm type.

watch out for makalor type clips . I do like them and have several in the engine bay however the size range needs to be smack on as you only get a few mm range . A normal jubilee has a much bigger range of diameter .I always tend to measure on the tight side .

I have used mikalor clamps on my exhaust system really pleased with them
will fit on coolant hoses when I get in the garage
